Leading Nuclear Researcher Issues Grave Fukushima Warning – an ‘Ongoing Global Radiological Catastro

Physician and anti-nuclear activist and author of the book On the Effects of Nuclear Radiation, Dr. Helen Caldicott made an interview appearance with Global Research earlier this year to give the world a dire warning: if this mess continues, already increased cancer rates in Japan are likely to get even worse and spread throughout the world.

The carcinogenic effects of radiation can take anywhere from 3 to 80 years to develop. However, the government of Japan has chosen to only review only one type of cancer, Thyroid cancer, which appears much earlier, says Dr. Caldicott.

“And already, they’ve looked at children under the age of 18 in the Fukushima prefecture at the time of the accident, and . how many children. 201 by June 18 last year. 201 had developed thyroid cancer.” ~Dr. Helen Caldicott
