China Deploys Jets To South China Sea, As US Simulates War With North Korea

Late last week, China for the first time confirmed the deployment of its J-11B jet fighters to the heavily disputed South China Sea islands. Footage was released by Government-run China Central Television (CCTV) in the form of military propaganda directly challenging the United States and its allies in the disputed waters. The footage confirmed the aircraft are residing in various hangars on Yongxing island, a Chinese name for Woody Island, which is in the contested Paracel Island chain.

Former US Navy Secretary John F. Lehman has warned in an exclusive interview with Asia Times that the US faces the danger of a “New Pearl Harbor from growing cooperation between China, Russia and Iran that is marked by increased military and technology sharing.

“China, Russia and Iran are doing joint naval exercises and they are sharing anti-aircraft and antisubmarine technology,” Lehman said. “They don’t have to be allies. They figure if they carry out their designs in co-ordinated fashion that this will stretch the US (more…)

Andrew Maguire Says Contacts In China Warn Something Major Is Brewing In The Gold Market

November 25, 2017

November 25 (King World News) – Andrew Maguire:  “The incentive for China to keep accruing gold assets, related producers, and infrastructure, at a dilutive discount is reaching the point where it may be a disadvantage for China to hold off forcing the gold price reset before Western Central planners do so first. I am talking to my contacts in China and can guarantee that something major is brewing as far as gold is concerned. Having accrued at least twice the unencumbered physical gold tonnage the US ‘claims’ to have, it would serve China well to force a gold price reset to…

Around 2000, the US Department of Defense expected China to deploy the DF-41 missile between 2005 and 2010.

The three-stage solid-fuel DF-41 is larger than the DF-31 missile, and has a range of up to 13,000-15000 kilometers. The DF-41 has ten warhead MIRV capability. It is an 80 ton missile.

The 8,000 km range DF-31 was successfully flight- tested in 1999 and 2000, and tests of the other longer-range mobile ICBM were anticipated within next several years. The DF-31 is about 42 tons.

Operational deployment of the DF-31 missiles began in 2006.

The upgraded DF-31A missile has a reported range of 11,200 km which allows targeting of most of the continental United States. It was designed with MIRV capability to hold 3 to 5 warheads, (more…)

Six Things You Should Know About China’s One Belt One Road Plan, How China’s Totalitarian Past Feeds Its Quest For World Domination

6 Things You Should Know About China’s One Belt One Road Plan

China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) project – consisting of the Silk Road Economic Belt, a land route to Europe, and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, a sea route cutting from the Philippines to the Mediterranean – is a sprawling bureaucratic monstrosity the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) asserts will create a better-connected, wealthier global economy. The Belt and Road Initiative, as it is sometimes also called, requires China to invest heavily in infrastructure and development across three continents to facilitate trade for China.

The political gilding of OBOR hides China’s focus in another important domain: the South China Sea.

While much needed discussion is underway regarding the threat that North Korea poses to the mainland, attention needs to also be turned to the threat that China poses to the United States and its allies in Eurasia. At the moment, China is undergoing two major projects in hopes of making itself an even stronger global player.

To make itself an even greater economic power, China is trying to recreate the ancient Silk Road network. President Xi Jinping launched the program, then named the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, back in 2014. The program, which began with a budget of $40 billion dollars (more…)

Scientists have discovered the cremated remains of the Buddha inside a ceramic box in Jingchuan County, China.

According to archeologists, an inscription says the remains were buried on June 22, 1013, and belong to the Buddha, who is believed to have lived from 563 B.C. to 483 B.C.

Kansascity.com reports: More than 260 Buddhist statues were found buried near the remains, but researchers are not certain they were buried at the same time since the inscription does not mention them.

Researchers noted this isn’t the first time remains of the Buddha — also known as Gautama Buddha or Siddhārtha Gautama — have purportedly been found.

Last year, archeologists reported the discovery of a skull bone thought (more…)
