INDIA has declared that Pakistan “will pay” for an attack on an army base in the Jammu region that killed at least six people, the country’s defence minister starkly warned.

Nirmala Sitharaman declared that Pakistan was “expanding the arc of terror” following the devastating attack and vowed to avenge the killings.
She stated: “Our intelligence inputs indicate that these terrorists were being controlled by their handlers from across the border.
“Pakistan is expanding the arc of terror resorting to ceasefire violations (on the border) to assist infiltration. Pakistan will pay for this misadventure.”
Following the attack, New Delhi pointed the finger at Pakistani military group Jaish-e-Muhammad for carrying out the attack on the army base that houses over 3,500 troops.
The defence minister also disclosed that one of the four militants are believed to have stayed outside the camp’s premises during the attack.
She continued: “The terrorists have been eliminated although there was information (more…)

In the latest swipe at bitcoin’s credibility from a prominent member of the global financial and economic establishment, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim said Wednesday at a dinner in Washington that “the vast majority of cryptocurrencies” are essentially “Ponzi schemes”, Bloomberg reported.
The plunge in the valuation of bitcoin and most of the hundreds of other digital tokens that were inspired by the virtual currency has appeared to validate criticisms from financial luminaries like Bridgewater’s Ray Dalio, who famously called it a bubble late last year. He was one-upped this past week by NYU Economist Nouriel Roubini, who claimed that bitcoin is quite possibly “the biggest bubble of all time”.
“In terms of using Bitcoin or some of the cryptocurrencies, we are also looking at it, but I’m told the vast majority of cryptocurrencies are basically Ponzi schemes,” World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim said Wednesday at an event in Washington. “It’s still not really clear how it’s going (more…)

It really is a shame, and it is tiring, but it is actually nothing new: there is now total disarray amongst those countless ‘progressive’ and ‘semi-left’ Western intellectuals, publications, movements and political parties.
Cowardice, bloated egos, lack of discipline and intellectual pettiness are often to blame, but that is not all.
It is now absolutely clear that the Western left lost patently and shamelessly. It has almost no power, it has no courage to fight or to take risks, and it counts on no real political following in Europe, North America, Australia or New Zealand. ‘The masses’, those proverbial ‘oppressed masses’, have lately been electing and voting in various semi-fascist populists, unapologetic right-wing demagogues, and mainstream pro-business brutes.
Entire Marxist ‘theoretical certainties’ have been collapsing in front of our eyes. Or at least they have been in the West.
To a great extent, what is now happening is absolutely natural. The European left betrayed as early as in the 1980’s, by becoming too soft, too undisciplined, (more…)
The last several years have seen massive gains for both stock market and digital currency investors with prices hitting unprecedented levels of growth. But one particular asset class, despite its necessity for day-to-day global activities, has been totally ignored by the general investing public. According to venture capital financier Carlo Civelli, there are varying reasons for why mining companies involved in commodity metals like copper, zinc, gold and silver have been either stagnant or seen disproportionate drops in their market value versus broader stocks, but one in particular stands out as of late:
The exploration stocks are just not attracting the following that they used and the reason for that could be the whole blockchain and Bitcoin mania… which is diverting a lot of speculative money from what used to be the commodities markets.
And while we’re likely to see continued interest in crypto currencies over coming years, Civelli notes that recent political developments in the United States, as well as favorable supply demand fundamentals, (more…)
In a programme which will be aired on German television on Monday, BfV head Hans-Georg Maassen said: “We determined that procurement activities have been carried out from there that are, in our view, done with a view to the missile programme and sometimes also for the nuclear programme.”
Comments released by a German broadcaster ahead of Monday have shown that Mr Maassen did say that German authorities had prevented such activities when they found them.
However, he added: “We can’t guarantee that we can detect and prevent this in all cases.”

When asked his thoughts on the Washington Post‘s report about FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe allegedly neglecting to investigate sensitive emails found on ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner’s laptop, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino replied, “Andy McCabe’s in a world of trouble right now.”
“Let’s be clear, Andy McCabe is number two at the FBI, during two critical investigations — the Trump investigation, the counter-intelligence investigation and the investigation into Hillary Clinton.”
Bongino continued, “what he’s going to have to answer for is how did Hillary Clinton skate and how did Mike Flynn get prosecuted.”
As the popular podcaster pointed out, the latest batch of FBI text messages provided by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), show agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page leaked “confidential information,” to reporter Devlin Barrett, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, and later the Washington Post.
Barrett is behind the Washington (more…)

Last year I was awarded Marquiss Who’s Who In America’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This did not prevent a hidden organization, PropOrNot, from attempting to brand me and my website along with 200 others “Putin stooges or agents” for our refusal to lie for the corrupt, anti-American, anti-constitutional, anti-democratic, warmonger police state interests that rule the Western World.
The only honest, factual media that exists in the Western World today are the names on the PropOrNot list of “Putin agents.”
The purpose of ProOrNot is to convince Americans that freedom of speech must be halted by destroying fact-based Internet media, such as this website and 200 others that provide factual information at odds with Big Brother’s universal brainwashing as delivered by CNN, NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the rest of the utterly corrupt presstitute media, a collection of scum devoid of all integrity and all respect for truth.
A conspiracy of US government agencies, tax-exempt think tanks funded by the ruling interests, and media acting (more…)
