Who is burying the Olympic Movement and Why?

Who is burying the Olympic Movement and Why?

[html]

By the time the 2018 Winter Olympic Games opened in PyeongChang last week, the masterminds behind the so-called Russian doping scandal had finally lost their control of the narrative, causing irreparable damage to the Olympic movement and to sports in general.  The politically motivated actions of a tiny group of functionaries in the sports industry have discredited the very concept of the purity of athletics and have resulted in a sharp drop in the world’s interest in the Games in PyeongChang.  This is evident in the disastrous attendance figures (a month before the competitions began only 60% of the tickets had been sold, and the most popular events, hockey and figure skating, had the highest number of unclaimed seats) and could also be seen in the significant drop in the IOC’s ad revenues.

The reason for this downward spiral is obvious, when some athletes are discriminated against based on their nationality while others run mad with impunity, this not only ruins the element of suspense in the competitions, it also kills off spectator interest and advertising contracts.

“New California” Conservative Movement Declares Independence As First Step Towards 51st St

A group called “New California” has taken its first step towards carving the Golden State in two – issuing a “declaration of independence” which would incorporate most of the state’s rural counties – while coastal counties from the northern San Francisco Bay Area to the southern tip of Los Angeles would remain part of the existing state.

Quoted by CBS,  founder Paul Preston said “Well, it’s been ungovernable for a long time. High taxes, education, you name it, and we’re rated around 48th or 50th from a business climate and standpoint in California.”

“There’s something wrong when you have a rural county such as this one, and you go down to Orange County which is mostly urban, and it has the same set of problems, and it happens because of how the state is being governed and taxed,” Preston said.

The group is serious about this effort – printing pamphlets (here and here and here) citing authority granted in the U.S. Constitution “to provide a republican form of government as guaranteed by Article IV, Section 4,” which co-founder Robert Paul Preston says has not been the case in California for a long time. “There’ something wrong when you have a rural county such as this (more…)

A new app is about to change the way we have sex — and it all has to do with the #MeToo movement

A new app is about to change the way we have sex — and it all has to do with the #MeToo movement

Inspired by the #MeToo movement and Sweden considering changes to its rape laws — where partners would have to get explicit consent via contracts before sexual contact — blockchain company LegalThings One came up with LegalFling, an app where people can quickly swipe to give consent.

The company specialises in smart contracts using blockchain technology — a form of public record that ensures everything the couple agree on and consent to cannot be digitally changed.

It’s labelled it a “smart solution” to the practical implications the law could have on people’s lives.

CEO of LegalThings and creator of LegalFling Rick Schmitz claims the app is the best and quickest way couples can legally give consent without killing the mood.

The “One State Movement”; Calls to Actions – Veterans Today

“In fact, the two-state solution was never real or fair. It has disregarded justice for most Palestinians, but even this unjust “solution” was systematically undermined by Israeli through more land grabs and more illegal settlers in the projected state for Palestinians. Israel made sure the two-state solution based on the 1967 boundaries would never become […]Source: The “One State Movement”; Calls to Actions – Veterans Today

Charles Manson Was CIA Stooge Tasked With Destroying Hippie Movement

Charles-Manson-CIA-stooge-678x381.jpg

Charles Manson was a CIA stooge, tasked with bringing down the 1960’s hippie movement which was seen as an economical and sociological threat to both the government and its Vietnam war.

On the 9th August 1969, an 8-month pregnant Sharon Tate along with 4 of her tinseltown friends were brutally murdered at the Hollywood home she shared with Director Roman Polanski.

Prepareforchange.net reports: It is widely believed that these were ritualistic killings ordered by the notorious Charles Manson and carried out by his followers the Manson Family. However, government whistleblower Charles August Schlund III (better known as Chuck Schlund), suggests that these murders may have, in fact, been a covert operation carried out by the CIA …

Schlund, (now deceased) came across the ‘Don Bolles Papers’ during the ’70’s which, amongst other things, gave information on the CIA’s involvement in the Manson family Murders. Schlund actually filed a lawsuit against George W. Bush, for unlawful attempts, upon his person, to suppress this information, though this never went to trial.

Calexit movement opens California embassy in Moscow

Calexit movement opens California embassy in Moscow

A campaign calling for the independence of California from the United States has opened an “embassy” in Moscow. The movement, Yes California, is hoping for a “Calexit” break from the US. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Louis Marinelli, leader of the movement, said the embassy will not deal with diplomatic issues, but will act as more of a cultural center that will educate Russians about California’s history, boost trade ties and promote tourism.

“We’re not requesting military assistance from Russia,” Marinelli explained. “We’re certainly going to request recognition of our independence and recognition of our [2019] independence referendum result, as we’re going to request that the entire international community recognizes the results.”

The California independence movement gained some traction, particularly on social media, in the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory in November. It describes itself as a “nonviolent campaign to establish the country of California using any and all legal and constitutional means to do so.”

On Sunday, Marinelli added that he wishes to “lay the groundwork” for bilateral relations between an independent (more…)

Anti-pipeline Movement Gathers Steam

Thousands of Native Americans at Standing Rock in North Dakota are protesting a pipeline project that puts their water supply at risk, threatens to plow up their sacred sites, and would worsen climate change. Their rallying echoes hundreds of local struggles across the U.S. that question the prudence, safety, and necessity of thousands of new gas […]Source: Anti-pipeline Movement Gathers Steam
