December 17, 2016, 11:34 AM (IDT) A Syrian rebel official al-Farouk Bakr Saturday reported a new deal to complete the evacuation of rebel-held areas that was stalled Friday. Speaking from Aleppo, he said the deal comprised an evacuation from the two Shi’ite villages besieged by rebels, the evacuation of wounded people from two towns besieged by pro-government forces near the Lebanese border, and the full evacuation of rebel-held eastern Aleppo.

Syrian TV reports militants shelling evacuation corridor in eastern Aleppo

Militants have shelled an evacuation corridor from eastern Aleppo in the Ramuse district, Syrian state-run TV reported. Syrian army was sent to the area.

Moreover, the evacuation of militants and their families from east Aleppo has been suspended as they violated an agreement by trying to take hostages with them, Al-Ikhbariya TV channel reported.

“There are reports that militants have violated the agreement and tried to take people hostage,” a correspondent of TV channel reported.

“Terrorist groups in Aleppo shelled the the Ramuse district,” the TV channel said.

According to the TV channel, militants shelled the exit from eastern Aleppo when a new convoy of buses evacuating people was ready to leave east Aleppo. Syrian servicemen have been sent to the area.

November 24, 2016, 2:11 PM (IDT) The fire in Haifa continued to rage on Thursday afternoon. Houses were ablaze and thick smoke filled the air in many neighborhoods, mainly Romema, Ahuza and others nearby. There was utter chaos on highways and other main roads after the Israel Police ordered residents to evacuate. Damon Prison, located near Haifa University, and the nearby Carmel Prison were preparing for immediate evacuation. Firefighting aircraft were operating above four areas of the city. Alleged chemical incident leads to evacuation at London City Airport

Twenty-six people were treated for breathing difficulties with two individuals taken to hospital following an alleged chemical incident at London City Airport.

The site was evacuated after a fire alarm went off in the terminal building. Passengers and airport staff were left on the tarmac as three fire engines responded to the alarm.

“Three fire engines and a range of specialist appliances have been called to reports of a chemical incident at London City Airport this afternoon,” London Ambulance said in a statement.

Ambulance crews and the Hazardous Area Response Team attended to the incident.

The airport terminal remains closed with officials investigating the cause. Passengers have been advised to check with their airline for the latest information.

Over 40 million personnel from Russia’s regional and municipal authorities, as well as emergency and evacuation services, will be involved. “The drill will take place from the 4th to the 7th October 2016. As a total, over 40,000 million people will be involved, with 200,000 specialists from various rescue services, and over 50,000 equipment units will be put to the test,” Manuilo said.

Hysteria: Abandoned luggage sparks evacuation at Eiffel Tower

The iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris has been evacuated after security services spotted an abandoned piece of luggage, French outlet BFMTV reports. Visitors have been posting pictures online of police cordoning off the entrance.

According to BMFTV, a backpack was the likely trigger of the evacuation.

People posted pictures of a heavy security presence at the monument, saying law enforcers were “are all over” the place. Soldiers and police armed with assault rifles were spotted in front of the Eiffel Tower’s entrance.

Some people at the site had said previously that a “suspicious” package had caused the evacuation.
