The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency now has access to a nationwide license plate recognition database comprising of billions of license plate data records.

ICE obtained access to what the agency described as a ‘commercially available License Plate Reader database’ after finalizing a contract with an unnamed provider in early January, The Verge reported.

Word that ICE has access to this system, which would allow agents to track a target’s whereabouts and potential associates over the last five years via their car movements, has sparked civil liberty concerns.

House investigators this week will have access to all unredacted documents and witnesses they had sought under a deal between Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, Catherine Herridge of Fox News reported.

Among the eight witnesses the House investigators will have access to is Trump-hating FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page.

The remainder of the hateful text messages between the two lovebirds will be delivered to investigators by January 11.

Fox News reported:

“The letter, from Nunes to Rosenstein, summarizes an “agreement” reached on a phone call Wednesday evening and also says key FBI and Justice Department witnesses in the probe will be provided for interviews later this month.

“It is my hope that this agreement will provide the Committee with all outstanding documents and witnesses necessary to complete its investigations,” Nunes wrote.

Many are applauding the FCC’s decision to repeal net neutrality, but I believe that this is a huge mistake.  Hopefully the worst case scenarios will not play out, but if they do we could be looking at the end of the Internet as we know it today.  We have all become quite accustomed to going anywhere on the Internet that we would like, but thanks to this decision the big Internet service providers could start to turn the Internet into another version of cable television.  Websites that are not part of your “Internet package” would either load much slower or would not be accessible at all.  Essentially, the big Internet service providers could eventually become “gatekeepers” that would decide what you would and would not be able to see on the Internet.  So if they didn’t like the views of a particular website (such as this one), they could simply block access to it and their subscribers would no longer be able to get to it.
