GOP revamping “Ryancare” plan to include work requirement for Medicaid program, increased tax credits for older Americans
House Speaker Paul Ryan says the Republican Party is revamping its alternative plan to Obama’s health care law to include a work requirement for the Medicaid program for the poor and boost benefits to older Americans.
Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Ryan said he was confident about bringing the American Health Care Act before the House of Representatives on Thursday and was addressing concerns raised by rank-and-file Republicans.
He told Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace that he feels “very good” about the bill ahead of Thursday’s vote, vowing to make good on the Republican party’s promise to “repeal and replace this faulty collapsing law.”
